Dear Friends,

WWF’s Living Planet Report of 2006 confirms the trends noticed in past issues of this state of the environment document: human footprint is getting larger
than the planet’s ability to sustain. In other words, humans are using more resources than the planet offers and the current course of consumption will only aggravate the problems for the planet.

WWF-India addresses these issues through a wide variety of conservation programmes and partnerships with principal stakeholders. Our national network comprising of over 35 offices works with local communities and finds sustainable solutions that make significant difference among all.

The conservation challenges that surface every now and then, hence requires continuous support, your regular patronage is vital for us. And, one of the easiest ways to support WWF is to be a proud owner of WWF’s special non-seasonal products that can be used round-the-year. We bring to you our product line of 2008 – from recycled paper products such as folders, desk sets, photo frames to T-shirts and caps, which can be worn to show your support for nature conservation.

Our products are eco-friendly, practical and benefit the communities that we work with. For instance, some of the products are made by Self Help Groups
based in Kerala, Goa and West Bengal using screwpine, sisal, banana and jute fibre. All of these can be used in your living workspace.

I also welcome you to the refurbished Nature Gallery at WWF-India Secretariat, New Delhi and Thiruvananthapuram. In our endeavor to bring WWF-India’s
nature products closer to you and to make your visit to WWF’s store a memorable experience, we will strive to add more stores across the country. You are invited to contact our state offices closest to you for purchase of our products.

Remember, every time you buy or gift a WWF product, you not only add to our conservation strength but you also promote environmental efforts in the
country.

Thank you for choosing WWF products and taking a right step towards environment conservation.

Regards
Ravi Singh
