Prithvi Ratna Winners
The Ministry of Environment and Forest and the World Wide Fund for Nature- India conducted Prithvi Ratna, a National Level Essay Writing Competition for Youth on Climate Change. The objective was to inculcate a sense of ecological citizenship amongst the youth by providing them a platform to express their views.
The 4 best entries have won an opportunity to be a part of the Indian Delegation for COP 15 - The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change to be held in Copenhagen, Denmark from December 7 – 18, 2009. The winners will participate in the Conference from December 6 – 12, 2009. WWF-India will get in touch with the winners for more details.
8 more winners will be sent for a 2 night-3 day expedition to Jim Corbett National Park, details of which will be communicated to the winners by November 30, 2009.
